Imagine your pet’s favorite toy — cute, engaging, but ultimately useless if it doesn’t hold up under real play. Now, what if your business decisions were judged the same way? Not by pretty chat, but by whether they actually get done when it counts. That’s the core lesson from a groundbreaking experiment showing that in the AI world, talking isn’t enough — execution is what truly counts.
Why This Matters for Your Business
If your company relies on AI for customer support, sales, or management, the question isn’t just whether it can produce convincing responses. It’s whether your AI can actually get the job done when it counts — reading the right files, resisting temptation, and closing deals. This live experiment shows that what’s invisible in chat demos—such as discipline, perseverance, and execution—is critical to real-world success.
Think of it like training your pet: a toy that looks appealing but falls apart under play isn’t useful. You want tools that can handle the full game, not just the cute part. Similarly, deploying AI that can’t finish what it starts is like buying a pet toy that looks good but breaks in real life.

Key Takeaway: Execution Reveals True AI Strength
In the end, the experiment reveals a vital truth: AI’s ability to execute a plan matters far more than its ability to impress in a chat. Only two models out of four managed to close the deal their own analysis earned, showing that discipline, thorough reading, and staying honest under pressure are the real measures of AI readiness.
For business leaders, the lesson is clear. When testing AI, look beyond the surface. Use real wargames—like the one at firmulate.com—to see if your AI can truly perform when it matters most. Because in the end, it’s not about how well your AI can talk; it’s about whether it can finish the job.
