TL;DR
Vital Essentials has introduced Diced Salmon Treats for dogs and cats, made from skin-on salmon fillets and freeze-dried as a single-ingredient product. The company says the bite-sized treats are available at independent pet stores and through VitalEssentials.com, Amazon and Chewy; price, package sizes and launch timing were not provided.
Vital Essentials, the pet nutrition brand owned by Carnivore Meat Company, has introduced Diced Salmon Treats for dogs and cats. The freeze-dried treats are made from 100% salmon and add another single-ingredient protein option to the brand’s lineup.
The company says the treats are made from skin-on salmon fillets, with each piece freeze-dried to retain a light, flaky texture. The recipe contains no other ingredients, according to the announcement, and the company says it has no fillers, grains, gluten or artificial additives.
The bite-sized pieces are intended for training, rewards or everyday treating, the company said. Vital Essentials describes salmon as naturally rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which it says support muscle maintenance and healthy skin and coats. Those are product-related nutrition claims from the company, not independent findings included in the source report.
The treats are listed as available through independent pet stores and online at VitalEssentials.com, Amazon and Chewy. The announcement does not give a price, package weight, product code or specific date when sales began.
A New Protein Option for Treats
The launch gives customers looking for a single-ingredient treat another protein option beyond the products already in Vital Essentials’ range. Salmon may appeal to buyers seeking variety in the proteins they offer their pets, while the small pieces can be used in different treating routines, according to the company.
For the brand, the product extends its freeze-dried raw treat lineup to dogs and cats. The source report describes Vital Essentials as a growing brand distributed through more than 7,000 U.S. retailers, in 14 international markets and online. The addition is a product expansion; the announcement provides no sales forecasts or evidence of consumer demand for this specific item.
Ingredient simplicity does not by itself establish that a treat is suitable for every animal or feeding plan. Owners with questions about a pet’s diet or health needs should consult a veterinarian, particularly before introducing a new food or treat.

Vital Essentials’ Existing Reach
The product was announced by Carnivore Meat Company, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, which owns Vital Essentials. In the announcement, Carnivore Meat Company describes itself as a producer of raw frozen and freeze-dried pet food and treats, and says its freeze-dried division also provides private-label, co-packing and ingredient services.
The company says Vital Essentials products are sold through more than 7,000 U.S. retailers, across 14 international markets and online. That distribution information provides context for the potential reach of the new treats, but it does not confirm that Diced Salmon Treats will be stocked at every retailer or in every market.
The announcement positions the salmon product as an addition to the brand’s existing single-ingredient treats and broader selection of freeze-dried raw food and treats. It does not identify other upcoming products or provide a schedule for further launches.
